A prepositional phrase includes the object that the preposition in a sentence is referring to and any other words that link it to the preposition.
For example: “Tim is on the innernet(internet).”

A prepositional phrase usually includes a preposition, a noun, or a pronoun and may include an adjective. It doesn’t include the verb.
Definition/Explanation:
A prepositional phrase always begins with a preposition and ends with an object, which is either a noun or a pronoun.
A prepositional phrase may have a compound object(two or more objects). All modifiers of the object(s) are part of the prepositional phrase.
A piece of prepositional phrase information to a sentence by modifying another word in the sentence.
